The North American Packaging Association (NAPA) was newly re-incorporated and legally commenced operations on January 1, 2007. The NAPA includes the membership of the National Paperbox Association and the membership of the Canadian Paperboard Packaging Association. The newly formed NAPA creates one united and unified voice for the North American packaging industry. And although incorporated in the United States, the NAPA operates two regional offices located in Toronto, Ontario Canada and Alexandria, Virginia, USA. The first interim board of directors meeting was held in Toronto in December 2006 and was presided over by newly nominated Chair Al Hoodwin, Michigan City Paper Box Company.
